SABC 3 presented Move Comm with an ambitious goal for their campaign #SABCTheStageIsYours. The primary objective was to cultivate appointment viewing for their prime-time slots, aiming for a significant overall performance boost of 5%.
Our strategy focused on creating and distributing content across social media to meet our objectives by categorising shows into three tiers with tier-1 receiving the most extensive coverage. This included TV schedules, viewing reminders, behind-the-scenes footage, teasers, and diverse reaction content (videos, images, GIFs) tailored to each show’s popularity and significance.

SABC 3 approached Move Comm with a dynamic challenge: to not only maintain
but to also enhance their existing viewership base, particularly for their
new telenovela, “The Estate.”
The Objective
To engage current SABC 3 viewers while simultaneously attracting a diverse audience demographic, tapping into potential viewers who were not regular consumers of SABC 3’s content.
In response to this multifaceted challenge, we devised a dual-platform strategy, integrating traditional TV outreach with a robust social media campaign. Recognising the power of social conversations in driving viewer engagement, we curated a select group of micro- influencers for our social media crusade.
